Creative Technologist · Educator · Storyteller
Building apps, stories and workshops that ignite creativity.
From tools educators love and picture books to workshops and interactive worlds, we create experiences that help people learn, explore and imagine.
We build experiences that help people see, learn and explore in new ways.
Hazelbrick Studio is a creative studio at the intersection of Apple design, education, storytelling and creative technology — where learning and imagination meet.
The studio
Three ways we work.
Hazelbrick Studio builds, teaches and inspires — creating tools and experiences that help people learn and imagine.
- 01
Create
Tools educators love & school workshops
We build tools educators love — like ARgif, used around the world to bring student creativity to life in AR — plus custom apps and hands-on workshops for schools.
- Tools educators love, built for real classrooms
- Custom app design & development
- Workshops for primary & secondary schools
- 02
Learn
Online tutorials & modules
Paid tutorials and self-paced modules that help educators and makers build with AI, apps and creative tools.
- Online video tutorials
- Self-paced modules
- For educators & curious makers

What we do
One practice, many mediums.
Each discipline feeds the others — a teacher's empathy sharpens an app's detail; a storyteller's pacing shapes an experience.
Apple Platform Apps
iOS & iPadOS experiences crafted to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines — tools that feel native, considered and quietly delightful.
Educational Technology
Learning tools built with classrooms in mind, turning complex ideas into experiences students can touch, explore and remember.
Picture Books & Storytelling
Illustrated narratives for young readers — where character, wonder and gentle pacing invite imagination.
Spatial & Immersive
Gaussian splats, 3D scans and spatial scenes that let people step inside a moment and look around it.
3D Scanning & Capture
Turning real people and places into 3D — from head scans to Gaussian splats — as raw material for new kinds of stories.
AI-assisted Learning
Experiments at the edge of pedagogy and machine intelligence, designed to amplify curiosity rather than replace it.
Selected work
Things we've made.
Spatial Desk
Spatial Desk transforms your Apple Vision Pro into a powerful spatial workspace — designed for professionals who work with 3D content, and anyone ready to explore what spatial computing can do.
Room Twin
Room Twin turns the device in your pocket into a 3D scanner. Point your iPhone or iPad at a space, move around it, and watch an accurate 3D model build in real time — then export it as USDZ to drop into AR, design tools or a presentation. Built on Apple's RoomPlan and LiDAR.
Story Coach AI
Story Coach AI is an educational app for young writers (ages 10–15) that uses Apple's on-device foundation model to coach students through a story with Socratic questioning — one thoughtful question per turn. It's the first educational app built so the AI develops the student's thinking rather than replacing it. Every idea stays the child's own, and entirely private on the iPad.
ARgif
ARgif is a tool educators around the world use to bring student creativity to life in augmented reality. Children animate a drawing in Keynote, export it as a GIF, and ARgif converts it to an animated USDZ in seconds — ready to walk across the classroom floor or fly across the wall. Every frame, the original timing, dimensions and transparent background, preserved exactly.
New Worlds, Connected Characters
New Worlds, Connected Characters is a cinematic experiment about two ideas meeting: entirely new worlds conjured with generative AI, and real, recognisable characters connected to them. The lone figure crossing this storm-lit headland is a digital double of me — my own 3D head scan, reimagined as a character — dropped into a world that never existed until it was generated.
The Masks We Wear
The Masks We Wear is a community project created in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago. Working with young people, it uses film and creativity to explore the personas we present to the world versus who we really are — turning honest self-reflection into a catalyst for connection, understanding and change.
If I Were A Wizard
If I Were A Wizard follows Hazel, a young mouse who imagines the wonderful, thoughtful magic he would make if only he were a wizard — looking after the people he loves, like helping Great Grandma Sheila check the mail. Written by Paul Hamilton and illustrated by Simon Howe, it climbed to #1 on the Apple Books children's chart, outselling the entire Harry Potter series.
Immersive Lab
A laboratory for what comes next.
Gaussian splats, spatial scans, AI experiments and interactive prototypes — an evolving playground where we test the future of seeing and learning.
