Workshops

New worlds, new stories, new ideas.

Hands-on sessions that put creative technology in students' hands and send them home with something they made. Run in your school, on your devices, by a practising teacher.

01

Digital Storytelling with iPad

Bringing stories to life through movement, imagination and creativity.

iPadYears 3 to 6

Students plan a story, then bring it to life on iPad using movement, voice and image. The emphasis stays on the telling rather than the tool, so every choice they make about pacing, sound and framing is a storytelling choice. They finish by sharing their work with the room.

Students leave with

A finished short story, filmed and edited by the student.

  • Narrative structure
  • Filming and editing
  • Presenting to an audience
02

Augmented Design

Designing for people. Creating solutions that make everyday life better.

iPadYears 5 to 6

A design-thinking session grounded in augmented reality. Students start by finding a real problem for a real person in their school or community, sketch a solution, then build an AR prototype they can place in the actual space it is meant for. Empathy first, technology second.

Students leave with

An AR prototype designed for a real person and a real problem.

  • Design thinking
  • Empathy and user needs
  • Augmented reality
03

App Prototyping

Turning ideas into experiences that solve real problems.

iPadYears 5 to 6

From a spark of an idea to a prototype students can hand to a classmate and watch them use. They learn to sketch screens, think in flows rather than pictures, and test with a real person. The clearest version of the studio's own mission, run in a single session.

Students leave with

A working app prototype, tested on a classmate.

  • Idea to prototype
  • Interface design
  • User testing
04

Living Stories

From imagination to augmented reality, where children's creations come to life.

iPadFoundation to Year 2

The youngest students draw a character, animate it in a few simple steps, then watch it stand up and walk across the classroom floor in augmented reality. The moment a child sees their own drawing move is the whole point of the session.

Students leave with

Their own drawing, animated and standing in the room in AR.

  • Drawing and character
  • Simple animation
  • Augmented reality
05

Little Creators

From hands-on making to digital storytelling, giving every creation a voice.

iPadFoundation to Year 1

Hands first, screens second. Students build something physical from craft materials, then use the iPad to give it a voice and a story. Designed for the very youngest learners, with plenty of making, talking and laughing along the way.

Students leave with

A handmade creation with its own recorded voice and story.

  • Hands-on making
  • Oral storytelling
  • Recording and playback
06

Creating Digital Soundscapes

Building the mood of a story through sound, atmosphere and imagination.

MacYears 4 to 6

Students discover how much of a story is carried by what you hear rather than what you see. They pull apart a familiar scene, then compose the atmosphere for one of their own, layering effects, music and silence until the mood is right.

Students leave with

An original soundscape composed for a scene of their choosing.

  • Listening and analysis
  • Sound design
  • Composition
